[Oz-mooney] Throttle Lock

It would be interesting if we could see a picture of the RACWA version.

I don't think that I could get them made and include a padlock for $35

Re an ASIC ... I have asked and told that I needed to wait 6 weeks (not sure
when that was but I made a diary note to follow up during the week starting
23/5/05). You will need to go to your "local" airport management. In my case
this is Albury and they know anything yet (and don't want to know either).

It will be really interesting .. What happens if, for example, (and as I do)
you fly into Adelaide Intl and take a passenger - do they need an ASIC as
well? Technically the same thing would be the case for any place with RPT??

I think it looks bloody good. I'd be interested, assuming the price is
reasonable

BTW, has anyone made any attempt / progress with getting an ASIC? It seems
to me that the system is totally unworkable.

Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on the following;

To comply with the new regs I have made a device to lock the throttle (see
picture attached). I was wanting to make something that is light weight (it
weighs about 0.145kg plus lock - about .3 kg.

Would anybody be able to offer an opinion about whether it meets the
requirements? Any thoughts on improvements? Also, if we get it right, if
anybody else is interested I would be happy to see if I can get a few made
and what the cost might be.

Regards
