Andrew,
The EDM is an excellent unit. I had one in my J. I went to OSH this year
and compared the EDM to other units and selected an EI UBG-16 on the
basis of some extra features and a salesman who convinced me they have
better quality probes. I think you can get the manual on-line from
buy-ei.com.
The EI has many more features, the best of which is simple long term
trend monitoring built into the unit. The EDM requires a computer to do
long term trend monitoring.
They are both great investments.
Brian

Subject: [Oz-mooney] Looking for advice...
Just wondering if anybody has any thoughts...
Windsocks - bought a windsock 12 months ago. It was made from a Bunnings
quality lightweight plastic sheeting. After 12 months it is getting worn
- holes etc. Surely they make better quality windsocks than this - any
ideas where to get something better and what type of material?
Engine Monitoring - I should have paid more attention some months ago to
discussions on engine monitoring. I am considering putting a monitor in
JDU (M20J) and am looking for some advice on what is best value for
money, features etc.
Regards
Andrew Kotzur
