The long awaited Australian launch of the Mooney Acclaim is near.

I expect that on Feb. 29 at Wangaratta there will be a sizeable turnout 
of AMPA folk to see the aircraft (and fly it if you are serious about 
buying), to boost the public profile of the marque in Australia, and to 
convince the Mooney factory that there are lots of people in Australia 
who care about aviation and Mooneys and that the Australian market is 
worth the effort.

On the evening of the launch there will be a dinner at the Gateway Motel 
for AMPA members arranged by Hamish Ramsay.  Guest speaker will be 
Dennis Ferguson, CEO of Mooney Airplane Company.  I have stayed at the 
Gateway lots of times and anticipate a good dinner and a very sociable 
evening.

As the catering  will be for a fixed number of pre-paid guests we will 
need to know exactly how many are planning to attend the dinner and MUST 
receive their $36.00 per head before 25 Feb.  I have agreed to act as 
the "collection centre" for these funds.
